Posted in About Alaska, Traveling to the Yukon

It’s August, and summer is still in full swing at Westmark hotels in Alaska and Yukon. But with summer solstice behind us and autumn quickly approaching, there’s no time like the present to start planning for fall and winter meetings and events. If you’re looking for a destination for your next company convention or wedding reception, consider reserving a space at a Westmark Hotel. With 10 hotels and inns, five of which are designated conference and convention centers, Westmark surely has just the right spot for your needs. To top it off, all of our properties are surrounded by scenic views and numerous visitor attractions.

It’s no big revelation that Alaska and Yukon are mostly considered summer destinations. Sure, there are those ski enthusiasts who relish the sight of fresh snow, or people who plan a winter trip around the chance to witness the splendor of the northern lights, but for the most part these winter playgrounds are largely populated by locals.  The close of the summer season means local Westmark Hotels throughout Alaska and Yukon are well-positioned to host meetings, conventions and special events of all sizes. Westmark hotels in Juneau, Fairbanks, Anchorage and Sitka, Alaska and in Whitehorse, Yukon all have conference and meeting rooms and a diligent staff to assist you throughout the entire planning process.

Here’s a look at two of our hotels and the amenities they offer:
